Fake Wen Products by Chaz Dean

So we all have our collection of shampoos and conditioners, right? Well many people like me somehow stumbled upon Chaz Dean's infomercial about his product called Wen. I can say, I was pretty excited about this. There aren't many "good" products out there and his seemed pretty legitimate. However, I am always hesitating before I ever order something from TV. I ordered Wen from Amazon instead. Here's the direct link I used:

If you clicked the link, you can see that I got the 90 day supply of sweet almond mint. I was super happy to get this until I later found out that it was a fake. Yes, a fake! Apparently, the first four ingredients of the fake Wen were water, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, and cetearyl alcohol. The first four ingredients of the real Wen are water, aloe vera gel, glycerin, & chamomile extract.

Don't forget though that the fake Wen products tend to look much different from the real Wen products. The fake Wen conditioners usually have labels that wrap around the whole bottle, wrong ingredients, a non-foamy conditioner, and different pumps. When in doubt, just compare products with each other using pictures, information, and anything else.

Using the Wen Conditioner

I'm still working on the other products but I did try the sweet almond mint conditioner. Now when I used the Wen conditioner, it was not foamy at all. It smelled like toothpaste mint. There is even a rumour about the fakes being made from a mixture of toothpaste and conditioner. Can you believe it? The toothpaste must be the main key to the minty scent. Mint is also an easy and common scent to make. Using the conditioner, I noticed some of my hair falling out. Maybe it was just me but it seemed pretty mysterious.

I'll be receiving my real Wen products from the official site hopefully by Tuesday. I'll defiantly make a post about it. Until then, see you all later! Don't forget to continue reading for extras.

Full set of the fake Wen products.
A whole bunch of papers included (not important)
The box I received the products in.
Side of the box.
Inside the box.
Now after reading the papers and examining everything, I think that I may have been signed up for some sort of auto shipping. There were a few hints here and there about receiving more packages. Ugh!

Overall:  The fake Wen products I received were awful. They did absolutely nothing and did not make me feel clean in the shower at all. Also beware of hair loss when using these fake products and auto shipping.

Sites to buy the real Wen from:

Sites to avoid buying Wen from:

ANY other site claiming to sell Wen! Even avoid ebay or amazon unless you know for sure that it is a 100% real Wen product. Most of the sites lead up to be coming from wenhaircare.com

Note: Sorry to stick the label on the pictures. There are just too many thieves out there and I figured that the best way to avoid any type of editing or copying is to just stamp a label right in the middle of the picture. I also always keep the original pictures too before I put the labels on them.

  1. glad I found this article. Wenhaircare.com signs you up for AUTOMATIC shipping whether you have the 30 or 90 day supply. They do NOT tell you about the auto shipping either!!!
